The level of export peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Senegal represented the largest exporting country with an export of around X tons, which resulted at X% of total exports. Ghana (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Togo (X tons). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total exports. Burkina Faso (X tons) took a little share of total exports.

Senegal was also the fastest-growing in terms of the wadding of textile materials and articles thereof exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Ghana (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Togo experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Burkina Faso (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Total imports indicated tangible growth from 2012 to 2023: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. The following importers - Mali (X tons) and Burkina Faso (X tons) - each resulted at a X% share of total imports.
